Navi and entertainment sys issue e60 535i

Last night I noticed as a start my car the bmw sign displays stays for a while hen goes black, after doing the reset (2 eject buttons and the power knob) it comes on and works fine with no problem. When I shut the car off, same issue keeps happening. What could be wrong

I have the issue when I use a USB drive instead of my Ipod. That's the only time I have the issue, so I stick with the iPod. Don't know if that applies to your issue though. I have an 09 535i.
