Pete, you broke my heart...
Today was a dark day in USC football history.
I only hope Pete can fix all this pain next season.

I'm PROUDLY wearing my USC shirt at work today.
USC did not lose, Texas won. Subtle difference, but still there. I hold my Trojan head high. |

USC lost with stupidity, period.
That one play where Vince passed a lateral for a touchdown - he was CLEARLY down with a knee. But I guess USC was too stupid/big-headed/egotistic to challenge the call. That gave the horns 6 extra points, clearly enough for the game-breaker. Also, Bush trying to do that lateral to get the most out of his spectacular running play - stupid, stupid move. Come on, kid, that's what the coaches' jobs are for. |

You don't blow a 12 pt lead with 5 min left if you're a championship caliber team, period.

Bush made a big flashy play to try to support his new trophy image and it backfired.
There was a malfunction in the cameras, and USC doesn't get to throw a challenge flag like in the pros. Granted, a time-out might have been prudent . . . and the delay it might have caused to make Texas take a play or two more to get in the endzone MIGHT have made a difference at the end of the game. USC got stopped on 4th down a couple times after moving the ball well, by a Texas team with more desire. VY just flat out overpowered the defense. All in all, a better Texas team showed up and rightfully won. USC, class of '91. |

Yeah, they 'claim' that there's a malfunction in the cameras but what doesn't make sense is that there is clear, indisputable evidence captured on the cameras that's live-broadcasting the game on ABC. Why couldn't they use that footage? Poor excuse in my opinion, and obviously not prudently heeded enough as it costed USC the game...and its dynasty, apparently.
VY is pretty good, I would concur. He's turning into another Michael Vick. |

The way he can run and not even being touched is just amazing. It almost look as if the defense doesn't want to tackle him.
Pete was right though, the way he was running, there wouldn't be much of a difference even if they had punted. It IS his fault though for not being able to come up with SOMETHING just to contain the guy for one drive.
