Thumbs up Audi R8 carbon fiber work

CHeck out the Audi R8 that my good friend just finished (He owns a carbon fiber business in FL called G3 Composites..) As you can see, he did a lot of carbon work as well as painted the wheels & badges in red chrome.

Take a look at the Audi R8 we recently finished. This car will be featured in Rides magazine soon as well.

Loving the black and red theme, keeping it consistent is what really makes it shine.

Did he replace heavier components with carbon fiber (thus making the entire vehicle lighter) or did he just slap on CF for purely aesthetic purposes (possibly increasing the total weight of the vehicle)?

Maybe it looks better in person, but the red carbon fiber doesn't match. It would have been better as solid flat red, or black carbon fiber.

Excellent workmanship but like the others, I'm not that big of a fan of the colour scheme.

Yikes. Not to my taste...cheapens the look of the R8 quite a bit IMHO.

Looks like some nice, professional carbon fiber work.

But the aesthetics of that R8 are making me sick. I spent about 2 mintues trying to reason how it might look good in person, but gloss black + gloss red/black CF + gloss black CF + red chrome just simply doesn't work for me...(in my humble opinion that you may or may not care a thing about). I think it's the red/black weave that is making it impossible to match with anything but hey, if that's what the customer wants, I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

Little too much red for me too. I think if he would have done the wheels black, calipers red, emblems in black, and 80% of the CF in gloss black it would have been perfect.

To each his own though! He has to drive it not any of you, and if it makes that dude smile more power to him.
