College advice? Texas Tech?
What's up guys
I've been accepted into quite a few schools, but I cant decide where to go now that it is coming down to it. I narrowed it down to Texas Tech, Baylor, Mizzou or Houston. A&M would have also been one of my top choices too if my transcript wasn't lost in the mail, but that's another story. I know these are all very different schools, and I could really use a few pointers. I'm leaning towards Tech because it's a big state school and it's just far enough from home to grow up a bit. Anyone here go there? The thing that gets me is that there is supposedly a "Raider Rash" that effects one in four? Is that true? What do you guys think about Greek life? Did you guys join any fraternities? I don't know anything about frats to be honest. Im hoping to major in Biology and probably move up to Dental or Medical School Any general college advice? Any college talk welcome Thanks

I went to FSU which supposedly has a really high STD rate and
I never got anything. Don't be stupid and use protection and you'll be fine. "Raider Rash" is no reason not to choose a school, if anything it shows the girls will be fun!

No regrets at all. The only people in my family who are md,dmd etc are my aunt and cousin. It was some job fair that I remember in fourth grade that made me want to choose dentistry. Everything else just grew through my years haha.

Just messing, but the last two I'm sure will be tough. Just depends on how social you are. I have two good friends on the same path, one about to graduate and the other a junior. They are constantly studying, but both have a social life.

I went to A&M and really enjoyed it. The education I received has done me well.
Pick the school that is going to offer you the best program that will get you to the end game you desire. All that you mentioned are great, and each offers its own unique experience. Good luck with your choice....have a great time....and keep your grades up. Don't be one of the many who end up going home after only a year due to academic reasons. |

Baylor, Tech, or A&M : in no particular order, either 3 schools will provide a good education to prepare you for med/dental school. It really depends on your thirst and desire to study in undergrad.
There were comparable number of people from Tech, BU, A&M (of course UT but you did not mention it) that were in my class. Would not consider UofH or Mizzou (out of state tuition = $$$$).
