of all of the american muscle cars the camaro is the least desireable to me. I'll take a Mustang 5.0 any day.

you mean that one !?!? you mean the $37K 5.0 Mustang that are driven by people wearing Affliction shirts with Famous hats !?!? that car is just as fast around a track as the $60k+ M3 !?!? cool !!!!! yeah, I think you're referring to that one...... or... Or.... OR.......... you're probably referring to the Z28 Camaro that beat two of the most iconic track cars of our time, a 2014 Porsche 911S and 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition.... that Camaro beat both cars at Barber Motorsports Park DESPITE having less HP, less torque and being RWD - Randy Pobst test driving all 3 cars... so yeah, you were probably referring to either of those cars.........just sayin bruh, don't be mad...... |

it was the hot topic back in 2011, when, apparently, you and p1et were sleeping under the same rock...... Randy, again, test driving both cars...... http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...m3_comparison/ "...For the definitive answer, we go to Randy's times: 87.67 seconds in the BMW to 87.76 seconds for the Ford. That's right, the difference between the fastest laps of the M3 and Mustang GT is, literally, less than an eye blink: 0.09 second, to be exact..." "...1ST PLACE: BMW M3 Did you blink and miss the M3's onionskin advantage over the GT? Here's a hint: It's in the chassis, not underhood. 2ND PLACE: MUSTANG GT Never has a loss felt so much like a win. From not once considered to full-blown contender, 5.0 officially puts the world on notice..." "...It's absolutely amazing how close these two cars are. No fewer than eight times during their fastest laps, the M3 and Mustang GT were tied in position, including at the exit of the very last corner..." |

^^^^^ and even in that same article, the non professional driving author said that he was .55 seconds faster in the 5.0 than in the M3...
and that's an average Joe... |

Magazines such as Motor Trends are biased towards their advertisers. If Dodge throws them a $100, the Caravan will be crowned Car of the Year. Unless it's someone from Top Gear UK doing the tests, any opinion or test is worthless. |

^^ Wow, at first I thought you were joking with the "American Car..." comment.
To my astonishment, you are an interior > every other aspect of a car type of guy huh? Because if that's the only argument you have left, please sit dafuq down. *I've owned an '03 Cobra and currently drive something that may or may not have a V10 with 500hp* EDIT: So Motor trend is biased? Ok then, how about The NurBurgring? Top 100 lap times has an 'American Car' coming in at 12th fastest followed by 66th place for the BMW M3 GTS.. oh and a Camaro beat that M3 GTS as well placing in 47th place. http://nurburgringlaptimes.com/lap-t...times-top-100/ Last edited by Uber V8; 04-07-2014 at 07:39 PM.. |

However, when talking about strictly performance, the M3 and 5.0 are pretty much tied. |

highly doubt that......
just saying that the 5.0 was just as fast as the M3 around the track for a professional driver and the 5.0 was faster around the track by half a second for an average driver... for the 5.0 to be a RWD American Monster that costs less than $40K, it sure did embarrass one of the most beloved track queens that costs almost twice as much..... back in 2011, the M3 fell from grace from being the "track queen" with the emergence of the 5.0 Brembo Package, which can be had for $35-39k depending on adders.. |
