Light module???
Hi guys, I just recently installed new after market 3D LED U-Halo HID Projector Black Housing Headlight Replacement Lamps on my 2007 BMW E60 530i. Now 3 days later my whole dash board is out, doesn't light up, my turn signals won't work, my AC turns on and off while running etc...I took the car to my mechanic who works for BMW and he says the aftermarket headlights might up shorted out the light module. Anybody ever had any issues with aftermarket headligths? I told him that 3 days later after installing aftermarket headlights I replaced my car's shifter but without disconecting the battery, soon after this issue started. Don't know if I caused the issue by replacing shifter or aftermarket headlights is the issue. All fuses were checked and are ok. Anyone ever had this issue? Trying to find out before I drop $950 to replace the light module. Help please...
Thanks in advance... |

More than likely something related to your aftermarket headlights. That module should not cost that much though..I'm sure a decent bmw mechanic can code a used one. Stay away from aftermarket electrical stuff, these cars can be sensitive.
