I really dig the black hood/cowl and roof.
I wonder if owners will follow the lead of the i8 guys and photograph this car with the doors open.

Didn't like the idea at first, but honestly I probably couldn't design it any better. I dig it. Not wild about it, but if it has decent handling dynamics and is priced between an i3 and say a fully loaded 535i, I would strongly consider it.

It actually looks pretty good! Remember, this is a sub brand for BMW, and I welcome changes in designs. They could stand to experiment a little and make a push for a different style. I think the "i" characteristics match these designs better than even the current i3.

Why do all these have to look like comic book cars? Hasn't Tesla proven the model of making an electric look traditionally good to increase sales?

Terrible. Why do car companies think they need to design cars with ugly futuristic designs just because it's electric. Please make a regular looking car electric.

I know the i8 has that water drop effect on the side, but on a sedan it reminds me of the Nissan design language Maxima and Murano.

This looks like a larger Chevy Volt, not a good thing. The I8 and I3 have been failures, they need to start from scratch on the whole division.

I can't decide if I like it or not.
Looks a bit like an i8 got into the 2 series tourer's bedroom 9 months ago I want to know when we're going to get some more i8 derivatives. There's so much room for an i8S and i8GTS or R or something of that ilk |

I can't see the future well enough to know if I will like this but right now I don't.
