Canes survived with another great ending this week. Can't complain with 5 starters out. (Ok I'll complain about the on-side kick call.). Unbelievable catch on 4th and 10.

Need to start playing all 4 quarters.

I'm 2-0 this week. Also called (guessed) LSU over Auburn in earlier post.

Penn State's real schedule starts now. They'll play B1G's top 2 defenses. Penn State is a pussycat running through a meat grinder in two weeks at Ohio State.

Ohio State is playing mad. Barkley never beat Ohio State by himself and Penn State will be relying on him this year even more. I cannot wait for this game. Most Ohio State fans don't hold a grudge on B1G teams. When they beat us, we take it, and move on. But Penn State fans has been very mouthy of late, and will be put back in their place.

USC-ND is a playoff elimination game, should be good!

I could easily see Miami having a letdown game after last week's emotional win, but I think the real question is can Syracuse keep up the momentum from the Clemson upset, or do the fall back to earth?

FSU-UL is a resitable force vs a movable object. May not be pretty, but Lamar Jackson is always fun to watch.

I'm just glad to finally have a week off after watching four straight one-score games that came down to wire. Bye weeks are great for watching more football!

The best thing for the Canes was seeing Syracuse beat Clemson last week. I expect them to be ready for Syracuse especially if starting DBs are back this week and I think Syracuse has at least an equal chance of a letdown. If Syracuse does manage to win, they will really regret those early season losses.

Canes still need to learn to play a full game and deal with big picture pressure - not just game pressure but playing because there are increasing consequences to losing. They haven't played with that pressure in a long time and certainly no one one on the team was around when they last did.

I think FSU takes Louisville but it will be a good game.
