330i X-drive Rear Camera

Hi all, new to the forum and hoping the collective knowledge can help answer this question. We had our first dent on the trunk area near the camera. The angle of the camera is a bit out of alignment and I was wondering if this might explain why the trajectory lines are not present any longer? The setting is correct to enable them, but they are not visible when backing up. Wondering if this will return once the camera is aimed correctly after the repair is complete.
