Diminished Value Estimate
Curious if anyone has experience with diminished value claims on 2024 M440I x drive gran coupe. 10,000 miles, front light, bumper, quarter panel damage and repaired by BMW with OEM parts.
What is a reasonable diminished value as I negotiate with insurance. |

Look at what undamaged value is and what the value is with the damage and ask for that amount.
Have not done this with a BMW but have dealt with diminished value on a previous vehicle that was hit. |

Same as above and it's fortunately been years since I've had to mess with it. Typically it's worth paying a few hundred dollars to a local company that specializes in determining DV.

Get a third party company that specializes in DV to appraise your car pre and post accident. I did this when I got in a not at fault accident and it was easy peasy. Way worth the couple hundred I paid.

Diminished Value Question
Look for the appraisal company that provides the opinions of six Mazda dealers which is the strongest evidence you can offer. Algorithms, formulas, book value comparisons, online ad comparisons are all useless.
