Hhhmmm, performance numbers yet to come from a tuned and/or modded C8, or C8Z. The mind boggles.

Not much modding for the new c8/c8z. Unless you are adding turbos/supercharger or cracking the engine open. Can t just tune it and gain 150/150 like the Turbo cars

I'm glad this LT6 seems to be unmoddable. Let the owners enjoy and appreciate the masterpiece the GM engineers made. |

A stock C8Z, by the time it reaches the hands of the owners, will probably get walked by a handful of cars in a roll race. Especially the factory freak turbo cars, or cars that are FI. The great thing about the C7Z was that you can improve it easily with a procharger, even with the stock cooling system. The stock blower on these cars is basically a block of solid lava. Makes everything fucking hot real quick. Stock fuel is good for 700rwhp easily. Will hurt lots of expensive cars out there.
I'm curious to see what the C8Z is like. It supposedly traps 131 which is quicker than the C7Z but no more room for improvement it seems. Hard to boost an engine that has such insanely great efficiency of moving air. It's basically boosted but NA at the same time. |

No troll, I simply stated my car was faster. I didn't say modded or not, just that the Vette lost badly. My car is a 4 door GT. It's not supposed to beat a Vette and it shouldn't. I'm 4500 lbs with a full tank, he's 3700 ish. Chevrolet can do better and it will next year with the Z06.

Although the thought of getting a stingray right now is definitely tempting. I love my C7Z but i'm tired of rowing gears. I can always twin turbo the C8 stingray and destroy almost everything out there anyway lol |

keep dreaming kid.......
and given the price difference you'd be better comparing your '6' to the soon to be released ZO6, to which you would do nothing but look at Chevy Tailights !!! Happy Dyngus Day to all !

Doing the math from the data you provided, the M6 goes from 60 to 130 in 9.3 seconds. That's taking the 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds and subtracting it from the 0-130 time of 13.0 seconds. The C8 goes from 60 to 130 in 10.4 seconds. That's taking the 2.8 second 0-60 time and subtracting it from the 13.2 second 0-130 time. That is a difference in 1.1 seconds in their 60-130 times. At 130 mph, that translates to 190.667 feet per second. With a 1.1 time difference between the cars, that equals 209 feet (almost 70 yards)difference between the cars. Since the speed for both cars is increasing, even half of that distance of 35 yards is right at 7 car lengths. That's your data, not mine. And since my car is modded, it was a blood bath. I'm not saying Vettes are trash, I'm in awe of the ZR1. But the C8 leaves a lot on the table. |

The fastest thing on the street is going to be EVs. Its kinda hilarious how easy it is to make a ev that does 4s 0-60 for even a mainstream non performance car. A lot of egos are going to get bruised.
