I wish. My Z4m was lemoned and I wish I could get it back.

Funny story. At a BMW cca autocross event in San Diego I ran in to the car with the new owner. Glad it went to an enthusiast.

I was having my C3 Vette worked on a couple years ago. In the shop was a shell of a white '75 being restored. I always like to hear the background stories on the cars being worked on. Well this Vette was bought new by a guy going through medical school and had to sell it to pay off loans. 40 years or so later he hired a PI to find it for him, it was totaled in a junk yard. He had it pulled out, bought a doner car and 100+K it was NCRS top flight restored.....orange peel paint and all - just like from the factory.

Damn thats crazy..!!

I actually wish I could do something like that for my dad, but the VIN numbers from back in the 60's were only like 8 digits long and weren't all transferred over to the newer system or something like that.. This is what I was told by the NJ Dept of Motor Vehicles.. My dad had a 68 Ford Torino GT Fastback with the factory 390, and I'd love to track that down for him..

Here's a link to get you started. If you have the VIN, you stand a much better shot at finding it.

Sold my 2008 VW Jetta Highline to my brother in law. He paid it off and now it sits in his parents garage, he hasn't even plated it yet himself

It was a car I put a lot of love into. It was APR Stage 2+ dyno'd 280hp crank and 330lb ft or torque (up from 200 and 210 respectively). It munched tires, was a turbocharged joy with a nice sound system to match. Decent amount of personalization too.

- KMD High Press. Fuel Pump
- Catless 3" down pipe
- Miltek 2.75" cat back (no cats...it's a thing I do)
- APR Stage 2+ test pipe software (changeable maps to run 100 octane never did though )
- Carbonio APR intake
- OSIR Splitters and foglight covers
- Trunk lip spoiler
- Euro converted black housing LED tails
- Bremmer 19" wheels
- B&G RS2 coil overs
- StopTech rotor and pad upgraded package
- Yellow highs and fogs, blacked out reflectors
- Mishimoto Radiator
- Isotta Shift knob (carried to Z4 now...)
- Android Dual core Head Unit, with integrated bluetooth Torque App.
- 10 Speaker upgraded system
- 2 x 12" JL Subs and box
- Repainted interior trim and mirror covers, vent boost gauge
- GLI grill (repainted smiley)

....maybe in a few years I'll buy it back. Who knows.
