I'm not debating the ethics of someone posting their wife in underwear on the internet (were there underwear pics of his wife posted here? I'm not scanning the thread very closely.).

I'm simply saying there's a difference between "Your wife is a midget" and "This woman in Vogue Magazine isn't really attractive." One is a personal insult, and the other is a review of someone who gets paid to be judged in such a way, it's her job. It's like someone punching some random guy in the head, and a boxer doing it for a living. One is personal, the other is a job.

As a side note, my company has actually done project work for ad agencies, and the fashion industry is one of the most physically judgmental industries in the world, at all levels. You won't find many ugly people working there unless they have lots of money or design skill.
