I like all of the on line apps that track radar traps / locations.
The problem is the cops move or drive along with you.
I really enjoy the 3 Escort 360’s I have in my main vehicles, they wake me up and I know if I’m being followed, passing a threat or approaching one or more. I also like the easy quiet button on the power cord, Valentine did not have that when I had one.

One oddity that I have noticed with the R7 is if I manually mark a location with a specific signal in a sea of other false signals (array of openers in a shopping complex), and it continues to alert on the additional signals, that attempting to mark a second signal, actually un-marks the first one. I guess you have to just let it automatically mute those situations. Or I am doing something wrong.

Absolutely agree on all the comment about police using radar in traffic. Nothing makes you feel more stupid that punching it only to find out there was a LEO behind or in front of you, running radar.

Maybe Waze would be even better if people did not do what you suggest and instead also contributed to Waze. Support the services that you like.

You can report in Google maps too. It's a shared service adding more data to waze which sucks ass as a navigation app. Far more people use Google maps for gps.

So Waze picks up Google map reports and vice versa or Google just sucks up every other platform’s data?

Waze is owned by Alphabet (Google parent company).

For anyone running a uniden r7 you guys really need to get mittheru's custom international firmware. It is literally a game changer for the r7, and I use it on my own device.

Here's a link for more info: https://www.rdforum.org/threads/141832/

Snooper all the way and heard good things about waze which I may add if the proliferation of mobile cop van speed cams increases.

This was my setup when I was commuting between New Orleans and Houston back in 2015.

I had the V1 with a remote display on the right side and the Escort Redline on the left. I would run the Redline for superior range until I got a radar alert then I would turn on the V1 and orient where it was coming from. If I ran them together they would either cross talk or the V1 would suppress the Redlines range.

Another funny device I used was this portable PCAS system to detect airplanes working Atchafalaya bridge. Once Waze got into popular use I could just look for multiple police pinned in an area and just deduce there was an aircraft in use.

Good times.

The Escort Forum is no more. I have an Escort RL360c since it was introduced in 2020. They just offered a new software update at no charge. Good Luck!
