My guy, this isn't the win that you think it is. Hamilton and Mercedes are all but done together. I've seen this song and dance before.

Max was medicore since he lost the car advantage, and with a fresh engine turned up to Maximum, he easily caught up.

Hamilton on the other hand has the same spec car that saw him and Russell crash out at COTA, and Mercedes has refused to modify or change it.

Max is decent, he's not as good as Hamilton, but he's decent. Then again, his competition is basically racing a guy who is marginally better than Perez in an equally as quick car, so it's not like there is much to see here.

The delusions are wild and we go through this every few months and you Lewis fans always get pooped on with facts supporting that he's never going to be on Max, Schumacher, Senna level. Remember Lewis lost in a cheater car against a mid teammate. George Russell is mid too and he's been abusing Lewis.

Do you really think Lewis is going to beat Leclerc?

If Max was mediocre not winning a race in 10 races, what does Hamilton's nearly 3 years and 57 races drought tell you? Oddly enough that drought coincided with him losing a 100 hp advantage...except even in the last year he had the advantage he lost to Max driving a slower car.
Beyond that, his car was better than Max's in many of those races too (esp in 2024) and yet, during the 2024 season alone, Max has won 4 times the amount of races Hamilton has in the last 3 years.
Max has never had a dominant car, let alone a dominant one for 8 years and the parity of competition, as well as the overall competitiveness of F1 from 2022 to now is 100X more competitive than it was from 2014-2021 as well as the drivers overall once Max and his gen came in.
Max's win yesterday trounces anything Ham has ever done and so do the records and levels of accolades Max has accumulated all while only have a decent car to do it with.

It was clear yesterday that Ham cant control the car - when you dont have an advantage of 100 hp over every other car in the field, party mode, secret tire tests, or getting all the ugprades over your teammate, and the team orders he needed (just like Nor does now) to pass, it proves how pathetic of a driver he always was. If he was mediocre it would be a major, major, major step up for him.

Hamilton has 7WDCs. He's on a level of his own. What has Max done beside be gifted a WDC?

This discussion is what has caused a ton of people to stop posting on here.

We rehash this all the time, let's just leave it to a difference of opinion.

Just enjoy the greatness you witnessed on Sunday because you'll look back on it in a few years and go "oh..."

It's speculated he might sit out the last three races - I'm petty, so I would if I were him.

What else does he have to prove? They put him on Mediums to qualify for the sprint when everyone else was on Softs. They consistently give him the worst setup, never warm his tires properly, and use his as a testing dummy.

Max has and would NEVER go through what Hamilton has. People here were screaming their heads off when he/his car lost pace for 10 races. Could you imagine having an absolute trash car for 3 years and then be asked to sacrifice your race weekend so someone else can benefit.

And it's not even a benevolent sacrifice. It's outright sabotage. Canada. Silverstone, Texas, Brazil. Every time the team tells Hamilton that they can't (too busy working on Rus Car) or will not (Mexico, Brazil) change setups.

next season can't come fast enough.

I didn't witness anything, I was with my family a theme park. But I didn't see Max do anything I haven't seen Hamilton do before.

Come from the back of the grid and win? Sure. Win in the rain? Ok. Beat up on mediocre Lando? Absolutely.

If Max is great, Hamilton is LEGENDARY.

Hmm..Schumacher did it first so he's not on a level all his own. And Sch did it without a dominant car, or cheating, and against actual skill and talent from the competition.

You must not remember the obvious, known, blatant cheating that was covered up by the FIA truly gifting hamilton his first WDC.

Legendary? Legendarily bad.

When did Ham ever win from P17 at any track in the rain in the 3rd fastest car on the grid?

Man, Max would kill himself if he actually had a good teamate. Couldn't beat Ric in his prime and would likely struggle with Yuki.

1/4 of the grid are ex Max teammates. He's just destroyed everyone and even without experience matched Ric (when he was one of the best) and Ham had a hard time beating bottas without team order LMFAO LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOL OLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLO LOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOL

These are records that Ham couldnt even manage to come close to with a cheating, dominant car. I imagine most of these will stand for a long time as well if they're ever broken at all.
