Got bored with covid a couple of weeks ago and decided that school might help with that boredom. Went and took my GRE (again, been over 5 years) and applied for my Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering.
Start Monday. I am pretty excited. Take the classes that I didn't get a chance to during my Master's program. I hope to do my dissertation on something related to characterization of flammable gasses generated by radiolysis of cellulose, plastic, and rubber in sealed containers of fissile material. Particularly methods of determining the composition of the CPR and the generation rates without having to open the container.
