Sure wish they would but the surrounding area just doesn't have the hotels/restaurants/transportation infrastructure to satisfy today's F1 circus. It's a fantastic track. The first of the thirteen F1 races I attended was the 1965 USGP...the last was the last one the track hosted ('82). But it wasn't just the F1 race, it was the United States Road Racing Championship (USRRC), the Can-Am series, the TransAm series, and the 6hours of the Glen that had our yearly attention. These days, I still visit about every other year.
Thought I'd attach these photos of some of the memorabilia from attending over the years...check out the prices (still remember when the camping permit price was doubled to $2).
