This is what I use for the basement but only during the Summer months. I like to keep the humidity level at around 40% because the basement is where I keep my music room and home theater.
The unit that I use is good for 1200 sq/Ft. I have the option to run a hose to a drain but esthetically speaking, I just empty the bucket as required.
