i grew up swiomming in the beaches of Texas when i was 4 or 5 years old.
always been a beach bum.
but when i hit my late 20's, i stopped going.
and it was seriously fear of stepping on or being bitten by something in the ocean - not necessarily by a shark though.
i used to swim to the furthest of depths out in Galveston when i was in my teens, but now if i'm out in water past my knees, i get nervous.....
when i take my children to the beach, i hold both of their hands and we don't go more than 8 or 9" up our legs HAHA !!!!
dat fear tho !!!!!
