PRK. What a blessing. I was fortunate that the Navy did this for me, but I was also shopping to get it done. After reading all the research the military did, I felt PRK was the way to go since a blow to the face or eye wouldn’t cause a flap to reopen since it’s surface ablation and leaves the eye in tact. Unfortunately PRK isn’t possible for severe myopia (I think).
