Exactly. Rodgers wasnt going to pass up playing this year, and Green Bay, if they traded him, was going to get a combo of current and future draft picks. Those draft picks help them absolutely 0 this year, and wouldnt be nearly as good since the team they sent him to would instantly be a good playoff team. By waiting it out this season, they can now go after top picks in the draft. The QB needy teams will still be QB needy in April.
