That's factually correct (except for the mid-90's part, i think he meant mid-2000's.) But what do you expect Nissan to do? Dodge sold more than twice as many challengers in 2019 as they did in 2009. And that car is based on a 90's E-Class Mercedes.

The VQ motor was introduced in the 1995 maxima with a 3.0 liter. The 370z runs the 3.7l version of it. How has the 370z change in over a decade for them to justify a 50 grand price tag ?
