The rear lights don't look the same at all. The camouflaged car has a sharp straight line separating the lights and trunk. The leaked pic has the lights cutting into the trunk much like the current 2 series. |
The shape of the rear is very close between the two. It is still in prototype stage so changes may have been made since the leak from months ago such as a trunk cut line or it could be camouflage, but the two are almost exactly the same other than one being an m-performance model and the spy shots being a lower trim. As for the taillights, the LED outline can be seen through the camouflage and it reflects the same angular shape. Even with the headlights covered up you can see a sweeping design piece inside the cover which is similar to the leaked image. This is most likely the same vehicle featured in the leak as creases, body lines and the overall shape pretty much match each other.
