I know that post was tongue in cheek however.....
Day old donut refreshing procedure South East Texas edition
(Be advised: this only works for yeast donuts, not cake donuts)
Get your day old donut up to room temperature
Cast iron skillet, heat to medium
Melt a pat of butter per donut to be "refreshed"
When the butter melts lay the day old donuts on top of the butter and flip every two minutes until the donut's golden color deepens.
Lay on a dry paper towel for a quick minute, then enjoy.
