Below is a Fletcher Class ww2 destroyer, so later & bigger than what should be in the movie. Much of the Battle for the Atlantic was fought with older destroyers (including the famous 50 ww1 lend-lease destroyers), and the smaller destroyer escorts.
The USS Cassin Young is in Boston, next to "Old Ironsides".
