I got my license at 18, Turkland says 18 is minimum. This story happened when I was 16
Both parents went abroad for something, and left the keys to my mom's car "in case i needed to move it". I asked about my dad's car, and they said they were keeping it in the garage in the office so that I wouldn't take the car out. Now growing up I was never the kid to pull that sort of stuff but I like cars and I was talking about how my buddies would pick me up (no license anywhere, btw) and we'd hang.
So my dumb ass decides it's a good idea to take my mom's car, and drive to the office, to ask my dad's assistant for the keys to his car. She of course didn't give them to me, so I went back home empty handed. Shortly after that I get a call from my dad basically grilling me for trying to take the car out, until he goes "wait how did you get to the office did you take your mom's car" then my mom railed me for driving her car without a license...
