Interesting story - I breadboarded this up with a NodeMCU (ESP32) a few years back, when I wanted a third opinion on light/UV readings against two of my weather stations. The Lux and UV i2c breakout modules are on the edge of the board, so that they could be mounted facing the sky with the breadboard vertical:



Never did anything with it after determining that these two sensors had lousy factory calibrations in sunlight and suspect Arduino support libraries.....
clever way to mount the extra boards on the side.

Anyways, ESP32 is cheap and versatile (hard to find anything cheaper with WIFI chip built-in) but also libraries seem to have bugs. Retrieving some webpages causes the board to reset. It is a known issue without any solution I could find so I just worked around it.
