I have a 535i and the transmission is slipping, especially from 4 to 5th gear. I've changed the seals, oil, filter and the solenoids, but is still slipping. My next step is to change the mechatronic, or the whole transmission. I found a mechatronic from a 2007, 335i but they are not the same. I can get the transmission from a 2008 528i, but I don't think that the mechatronic is the same, even though both transmission are 6HP21. Can I swap it with the transmission from the 528i? Would it work on my car?
