Has anyone here actually gone through the replacement process of their N63 or N63tu engine? I put off dealing with it last year because I was too busy with a new house but I now think my 550i is definitely going through more oil. I have a monthly reminder to check and refill as needed but was shocked to find it in the red for the first time (same timeframe, same rough mileage, same driving pattern).

I really [really] don't want to give this car up anytime soon, so if I can get a new engine with BMW covering 50%, I'll definitely take it.

Just looking for any tips or insights before starting the process with the dealership.
