Sony is dropping $350million on the new network rebuild itself. And, Sony JUST started making a profit on the PS3's, and then this happens. Add the lawsuits they are and will be facing from now until hell freezes over, Sony is going to be hurting when this is all said and done.
I've been an avid PS3 user, but I just bought a 360 for the first time the other day, so I can't talk about my 360's reliability. However, I own 2 PS3's, my old fatty lasted years. I bought it after COD4 came out. Never had a problem, even with its upgraded HDD. I recently bought a Slim, 18 days later the blu-ray laser died. It spent weeks away at repairs while my fatty was shipping from Europe with my household stuff.
So, I'm hoping that my 360 at least outlasts the fiasco I had to go thru with my newer PS3.
