You don't say the mileage, but with BMW's in general it's good practice to change the pump and tstat somewhere between 60 and 90K miles. And the radiator as well, more towards 90K. By the way don't let them change the pump without doing the tstat. It's literally right there, it needs to be done and you'll save a lot of labor cost by doing it at the same time.

My moms car had 123k on the odo, I did read the same thing about changing it around 90k. My neighbor had one of his guy replace the pump and tstat on the side which I made my brother pay for since he wants to drive the car now that my mom got the new G05 X5.
