Depending on your generation, many of today’s women are ladder climbers, much like climbing up the corporate ladder except in relationships and marriage. Their behavior has triggered the MGTOW movement and has contributed to the rapid decline in marriage.
I am fortunate to be with a Baby Boomer/Gen X woman who is steady and loyal. But unfortunately my first wife, also same generation was not a pleasant person and got meaner as time went on.
