The oldest timber frame home still standing in all of North America is the
Fairbanks House in Dedham, Massachusetts. It was built in 1637 (obviously they don't make them like they used to!)
It has been owned through 8 generations of the same family and was turned into a museum and historical site a few years ago.
Fun fact: in all that time, the family never once took a mortgage out against its value.
