One night I just couldn't sleep and around 3am had to go to the E.R. it was so bad. Felt like a huge bubble in my chest with piercing pain towards my upper back. No matter what I tried, just couldn't get rid of it.

Turned out to be gallstones and an inflamed gallbladder. Within a week after having it removed I was back to normal. Been 2 years now, and only had the same feeling once again, which subsided with some antacids.

Be aware of food-triggers, proper posture, breathing, and at night-time, try sleeping slightly slanted.. like, with two pillows or if you have an adjustable frame, at a slight angle. And if you're a side-sleeper like myself, turn on your left side.

Hope you feel better!

Thanks for the tips, think i'm going to go get double checked & make sure it isn't H Pylori. Hopefully this clears up with diet + ensuring nothing else is going on.
