Their car is so sensitive to everything.
Wind speed, wind heading, fuel load, etc.
All the cars are sensitive to that but for some reason Merc is affected worse than anyone. 2 kg of fuel gets used and it turns into a rocket. Another 2 kg gets used and it turns into a boat again. Someone in the grandstands farts and the car has no grip.
