I can still hear my father telling me, "The only thing that can't ever be taken from you is experience and education."
He played both roles as mom and dad growing up. It's sad that I miss him on mothers day and my mother never even crosses my mind.
As for motherly advice. The one thing that I remember my mother telling me as a child......"Please put that gun down."
