Ok, so wheels now dropped off at the wheel Refurb guys and had discussions with the guys on my ideas, of which they like the sound of.
Going to go for powder coating in the same black used for the competition wheels, which is a real glossy rich black colour. Then diamond cut the face.

As these wheels are a BMW Individual wheel, which is usually stencilled in grey, I suggested we go black, to match the bi colour, then use a 2 stage layered hardened acrylic, first coat clear, the second a slight smoked tint to pull the edges back a bit.

The guys said they use the same methods on McLarens and Ferrari wheels.

Should look great when done.

Should have some pics soon of the first stage, I’ll put them up if anyone’s interested.
