I experienced some vertigo a couple of years ago while in a full-motion flight simulator (B737) and can attest that it is a very unpleasant experience.

That's exactly what BPPV is. Nasty condition.
I used to get to fly the old Singer Huey simulators at Ft. Hood. I had a dude who was about to go to flight school along for a ride once. His wife was in the jump seat in back. She got sick as hell, but managed to get to the ladies room before she blew lunch.
