There are a bunch of sites and twitter pages that somehow get insider restocking info. I subbed to a few of them and tried 2-3 times to get one. Ended up getting one from GameStop at MSRP, got tipped off by a restock alert from
https://www.cnet.com/tech/gaming/ps5...sday-consoles/ where they let me know there'd be a restock at 9AM and 5PM (about six months ago). Refreshed the page at 9AM, beat to bot-checks, and was able to check out no problem.
