Funny.
I'm almost in the same boat. Dad of two young kids, driving a '16 M3. M3 is great, but could use more space in the backseat and trunk. I also wouldn't mind all the new tech in the X3 M40i.
I had a production number and build week for the M40i. But when the whole steering wheel shortage issue got me a bit peeved, and now my build is on hold. Maybe until MY2019?
X3M is not out of the question, but I'm not really in the mood for an $85K car right now. I might be tempted by a Macan S, but I'd have to drive one first.
