Hate on him all you want, he was a pivotal player during his time at BMW and basically he laid the foundation for the original and successful 3 Series.
Oh yes the general. Can't fault him for everything that happened at that messed up operation but at least I'll give him credit for his departure 'gift' , Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky a genuine effort to bring something semi worthwhile from that pile automaker.
