In the Sticky topic ''BMW M235i M Performance LSD - pricing and technical FAQ'' it states that the installation time is approximately 2.5 hours.
I suggest you print it out and bring it along when/if you get the LSD installed at the dealer - it should put things in a more positive perspective.
