Well, BMW never stated how they came up with their statement that most 1 series owners think they have a FWD car... It was at the time when they were also talking about creating a sub-1 series car that WAS (ta-daaaa) FWD. Go figure... That, coupled with nobody on any BMW forum known to man having been asked if they thought there car was FWD, and we can all paint the picture that it was BS...
