I think Phang-Nga island is where they filmed one of the Bond movies...I was there back in 2000, great place to visit and cheap, especially the foods and entertainment..and yeah, put your guard on the lady-boy, they're all over the streets, but then again after the tsunami, i'm not sure if the "scene" is completely back yet. Enjoy the tropics...it's awesome.
