I've been waiting to see the official announcement about the 5 series, and the M5, etc. Like many others, I think they will be great cars. Unfortunately, as I told my local dealer, I won't be buying a 5 due to BMW's insistence on the turbo thing. (Commie Libs) I know that I'm probably a red-neck southerner who couldn't care less about fuel economy, emissions, etc., but I like naturally aspirated cars. I drive my cars in excess of 150k miles. Regardless of what happens, work will need to be done on the turbos, if not replacement on a car of 150k-175k miles. Further, driving the car in Houston TX heat will exacerbate those issues. No thanks. Though I think the W212 E63 may not end up being as attractive as the M5, it is normally aspirated, at least for a couple more years. (I know that MB is headed to turbos in the next few years as well - for the same reasons as BMW) I just thought I'd add a little red-neck flavor to the board...
