I think they can be good if they can get a mass market product to mass adoption. Kinda hard given the economics of car manufacturing makes it very hard for newcomers. It is kinda miraculous that Tesla made it so far.
For Chinese companies, they haven't even a gas powered passenger car approved for sale in the US let alone electric cars?
I think Nio is more of a niche product than Byton. Nio is going high end supercars where Byton is going for mass market.
