Regarding the swirl flaps, it's a common issue on all diesels (even Mercedes) so if the intake has been cleaned or walnut blasted in the past you're good for a long time, worst case scenario a cleaning/removal will solve your problems. But they are used for low end power, honestly don't think they're even that beneficial.


I'd say at 5,500 go for it so long as the suspension/bushings are solid and there's no leaks etc. I'm sure it will at least get to 200k without issue.
