I think maybe people forget that, for Mercedes at least, this season is over. Yes they'll compete hard but no, they won't continue to develop the 2019 cars. Other teams are still vying for F1 dollars and WDC final positions while MB is putting all of that effort into their 2020 -- and probably 2021 -- campaign.
That said, Max is truly brilliant at Interlagos. Let's hope he keeps his cool and finishes first. He certainly has earned it so far!
