the actual headlight bulb is the D1S bulb and the bulb that lights the angel eyes are H8 bulbs. so if you want white angel eye rings then you need an LED or HID replacement for the H8. if you want the headlights a more white/bluish color then you would have to replace them with a 6000k or higher D1S bulb.
John's HID kit is for the angel eyes only. i does require a little more work to install those than a direct plug and play alternative.
