Catching up to what exactly? Market demand, or government mandates? The trend in the market right now is OVERWHELMINGLY towards PHEV. Brand after brand are rolling out new PHEV strategies.

Everyone laughed at Toyota for being behind the curve, L O freaking L!!! Now everyone is following them. Geez, maybe they know a thing or two about the auto market. I’ve never owned a Toyota and don’t plan to, but man, give credit where it’s due.

EVs will come, don’t worry, we’ll get there. Just not quite as fast as the fanatics want. When we finally get that better cheaper battery we’ve been promised for 15+ years EVs will make sense and everyone will buy them. Until then, chill out.
